Tasting Notes: Focused, mouthwatering, and giving, this elegant Cabernet Sauvignon envelops the palate with lush blue fruits and chocolate notes. Its lovely structure is marked by chalky, well-integrated tannins, excellent acidity, and significant length. Vineyard: Vine View Ranch - Yorkville Highlands AVA, Mendocino
Vine View Ranch is a gorgeous, high-elevation vineyard in the Yorkville Highlands. The organically farmed Cabernet Sauvignon vines perched at 1,500 ft. elevation thrive under the meticulous care of Vine View Ranch owner Courtney Lee.
Winemaking: Native yeast. Fermentation in small, open-top fermenters. Aged in once used French oak barrels for 15 months.
Vintage: 2022 was a mild, even growing season, and through late summer, it was a picture-perfect vintage. The dry-farmed nature of our vineyards and corresponding low yields allowed us to pick before the late-season heat and early rains, resulting in a stellar vintage for our wines.

"Mendocino-focused boutique label Minus Tide sent along a couple of their newest releases. Their Yorkville Highlands Cabernet Sauvignon is a dead ringer for 1970s-style California Cabernet, with lovely herbal notes in counterpoint to its blackcurrant, cherry, and plum brightness. Dark garnet in the glass, this wine smells of blackcurrant, cherry, chopped green herbs, and plums. In the mouth, bright plum skin, blackcurrant, cherry, and chopped green herbs have a hint of mint and a hint of sweet oak. Supple mouth-coating tannins have a very fine grain and stiffen slightly over time, but overall this wine feels like a throwback to classic 1970s California Cabernet. Impressive."
