Hella Chenin
Join us at Hella Chenin, a festival all about giving Chenin Blanc the love it deserves and spotlighting what makes this variety so special. Chenin Blanc is really having its moment in the spotlight, and we couldn’t be happier, as it’s a grape that we love to make and love to drink. Chenin Blanc used to be a mainstay of Mendocino County, and while most of it has since been converted to other grape varieties, the little that’s left can often be found in older vineyards like Sterling Ranch, from which we make our Minus Tide Mendocino Chenin Blanc. We are excited to pour our wine at this event, which will feature 70+ Chenin Blancs from top California and South African winemakers, oysters from Lo-Fi Oyster Co., food from Bay Area chefs, and live music. As a bonus, all profits from the event will be donated to Los Angeles fire relief efforts.

We are excited to participate in the highly anticipated Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival for the first time this year. Celebrating the beloved Pinot Noir grape, which has given Anderson Valley world-class wine status, the grand tasting will feature over 50 wineries. Set against the stunning backdrop of Anderson Valley vineyards, the event will include live music and perfectly paired bites from the area’s best chefs. The renowned Apple Farm in Philo—in the heart of Anderson Valley—is showcasing Minus Tide for a special winemaker dinner as part of their Saturday Supper dinner series. Inspired by the cooking of the late pioneer Sally Schmitt, who founded the famed French Laundry, the menu will feature classic recipes from Sally’s Six California Kitchens cookbook. The meal will be fresh from the farm and designed to pair with our wines. Join us and the Bates & Schmitt family for what promises to be a memorable dinner in the beautiful gardens of The Apple Farm.
